As a working Make Up Artist, I’m asked many times to recommend products. It’s very difficult to say that one product is the best in it’s field and suitable for all – but what I do recommend as the first course of action, is to establish what ingredients are likely to give problems…..
For instance, take shampoos as an example…. the ingredients likely to cause problems such as irritation (especially to the eyes) include Propylene Glycol, Terasodium and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.
Google the terms and then make a judgement on whether you are happy to use the product. If you do this with all cosmetic items that you buy, you’ll soon build up a fact file on your own personal “best buy” list.
When the day is done, don’t forget to use a good skin cleanser and then a moisturiser. You don’t need to go for an expensive one – just make sure you use it daily. Pays dividends long term!
